An International Standard and a longtime North American National Standard, the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) is required in the United States and Canadian jurisdictions. The 2011 edition replaces the 2007 edition. The NB of Boilers & Pressure Vessel Inspectors will no long be printing addendums, which can be time consuming for you to insert obsolete pages, and will replace the NBIC ever two-years. This is a great improvement.
Today, the National Board Inspection Code 2011 edition will continue to provide the same vital information as in past year editions. The new NBIC consist of the three parts: installation, inspection, and repairs and alterations. Each NBIC part has its’ own three-ring handsome binder and tabbed to providing easier access to your boiler and pressure vessel referenced code information.

– Part 3, Repairs and Alternations of Boilers & Pressure Vessels (hardcopies only)

The NBIC is an American National Standard (ANSI) and provides rules and guidelines for the installation, inspection, repair, and alteration of boilers, pressure vessels, and pressure relief devices. It is required in most US jurisdictions, and all National Board stamp holders are required to maintain a complete set.
The NBIC also known as the National Board of Boilers & Pressure Vessel Code is the premier post construction code book for boilers and pressure vessels worldwide and is constantly improving.
